ART & THEORY 1648-1900 STUDENT WRITINGS BOOKLET SERIES
2013
8 volumes, 14 x 21.6 cm / 5.5 x 8.5 inches each

This series of booklets was produced at the end of the BFA Visual & Critical Studies class 'Art & Theory 1648-1900' at the School of Visual Arts, taught by Bettina Mathes. During the class, students would be given both readings and prompts, and could respond with writings that were as long or short as they chose. The responses need not be academic; some even took the form of diagrams or notes.

This simple booklet series collates all the student writings into 8 volumes, each with a pastel-coloured cover – creating a rainbow palette. When scanned, each QR code on the cover will lead to a PDF of the reading for that volume.
